How Far Can the U.S. Go to Accomplish Its Main Goal in Syria?

According to Inside Media Center, on October 1, former British diplomat, political expert William Mallinson said that Washington only maintains a semblance of fight against terrorism, but actually delivers weapons to militants through its allies, such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Actually, the actions of the U.S. and its allies are called double-standards policy. On the one hand they are trying to convince the international community that they are fighting against militants from ISIS and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, to accuse “real warmongers” in Syria, to eradicate the concept of terrorism, on the other – they are backing the arming and financing of fringe groups by all means.

What is most interesting that the United States does not even hide its backing of militants. The White House provides Syrian terrorists from Jabhat Fateh al-Sham with money and modern weapons.

Recently Jabhat Fateh al-Sham unit commander Abu Al Ezz told Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper journalist Jurgen Todenhofer that the U.S. is financing them through Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and providing arms coming from   Libya through Turkey. Particularly, Abu Al Ezz claimed that Washington supplied his militants with TOW antitank missiles and military instructors who trained them to use this weaponry.

Despite the fact that it was one of the most important terms of the truce, that was reached by the US          Secretary of State and Russian Foreign Minister in Geneva, it is strange that the U.S. has not yet separated the moderate opposition forces from terrorists.

So what are the reasons behind such behavior of Washington? The answer is simple – the intention to overthrow the government of Bashar al-Assad. That is the main reason that caused the US State Department representatives’ violent statements addressed to the Syrian government and its allies.

The US hysterics about Syria has several main reasons – the loss of control over the situation in the country, a coming defeat of the Syrian opposition, mainly Jabhat Fateh al-Sham and ISIS, and strengthening of the country’s legitimate president Assad’s authority.
